Bill Maher’s favorite ‘Republican’

“Fox News, South Carolina, a perfect storm of stupidity…” –Bill Maher

Anyone remember how “outraged” Republicans were with Ron Paul when he came out during the first televised national debate and pointed to history to support his contention that America isn’t a nation-buildin, war-seeking, fascist government?

I’m sure the War criminals were cringing in their seats and a pretty serious disinformation campaign followed. Ron Paul became the loony person, and Ron Paul’s supporters were dubbed “bots, spammers and Paulistas — another word for crazy people.”

After watching many months later, I have to say that Ron Paul is the only guy that makes sense. It looks like Mitt “I’ll double Guantanamo” Romney is fighting Mike “They’re murderers!” Huckabee for the lead. But in the latest Fox News report on Iowa polling, it looks like Ron Paul is now in 3rd place. That’s right folks, he’s ahead of former Mayor Rudy Giuliani!

The Christian Standard

Remember, Ron Paul is a pretty good Christian representative and a fantastic leader with a real chance of doing damage against Democrats due to his anti-War stance. If the standard for GOP leadership includes being a traditional Christian thinker, then Mitt Romney may get squeezed out. That would leave us with a pro-War compassionate conservative in Mike Huckabee and an anti-War fiscal conservative that hails from the Ronald Reagan school of conservatism, in Ron Paul.
