Schizophrenic Media
The media spent the afternoon speculating about the prospect of Barack Obama’s apparent snubbing of Hillary Clinton. Only 24 hours prior, the same pundits were digging Hillary Clinton’s grave (again) after Ted, Caroline and Patrick Kennedy endorsed Barack Obama for the democratic nomination.
When Clinton headed to shake hands with a congressman seated in front of Obama. CNN’s Jessica Yellin reports that Kennedy, seated directly next to Obama, then moved to shake Clinton’s hand. As the two senators spoke, Obama turned to look at the back of the room. It was only after Obama turned away, Yellin reports, that McCaskill struck up a conversation with Obama.
Media Speculates: Barack Obama’s Snub of Hillary Clinton

Immage from CNN Political Ticker: “Obama: I didn’t Snub Clinton”
According to CNN, McCaskill commented that it’s “one of those accidents that just happened and got caught on film.”
“…and I think that, as somebody who watched the whole thing, I was amazed when I woke up this morning and I was part of it, I didn’t even realize. I mean, it was one of those things that all of a sudden it’s being blown into something that it frankly just wasn’t.”
Watch Barack Obama’s response about the so-called “snubbing”.

Nice point Fred.
I wish the level of our political discourse was more in line with what we SAY we want for our country. The media “preys” on anything that continues the issues of race, gender, bias and discrimination. It is not journalism if an opinion has given a ridiculously obvious slant to a story. Less media, more change. Time to heal the wounds that have been inflicted over the last 12 years on our global neighbors and the planet.
Imagine the things we could achieve if we understood and respected each other and this beautiful planet we call earth.

Race and Gender, no matter how much we fight it, will decide the Democratic race.
It’s not only candidates and the media focusing on these issues, but citizens throughout the nation with strong opinions formed due to the history they’ve experienced. Because of this, many Americans — especially minorities and women — carry chips on their shoulders. On a positive note, it’s what drives them to persevere.
Unfortunately, the way the questions are framed by the media — and those that stand to profit or gain politically — makes the issues very divisive and harmful to our country.
If you look at the photos appearing on most news channels, her eyes are not focused towards Obama. Besides, even if he did snub her, she should have made an effort to get his attention to shake his hand if that was her intention. I don’t think he snub’d her, I think she shub’d HIM! Think about how easy it would have been to get his attention yet she did no such thing yet she makes a statement along the lines that her hand is still extended. Politics, ya gotta love it!
