Fear, Propaganda and Scaring Up Votes For Political Power in America
I thought we’d have to wait for John McCain’s opposition to Democrats before we got another taste of the fear tactics that I used to rail on Rudy Giuliani for.
Rudy Giuliani is well-known for exploiting 9/11 and fear to try and garner up votes.
John McCain’s campaign put out this gem against Mitt Romney
Hillary Clinton shows us that no strategy, no matter how utterly reprehensible, is beneath her campaign and I can say with complete certainty that Hillary Clinton has lost my support and good luck appealing to the Democratic base.
Hillary Clinton’s campaign agrees with the neo-cons, that Fear is the path to power and it’s acceptable to exploit it.
I’ve given her the benefit of the doubt, because I believe Bill Clinton was a great man and always felt that his presence in the White House (despite what the propagandists would have you believe) would be a good thing for the United States. What I see now, however, is a desperate attempt by a failing campaign. The other night I was giving Hillary kudos for doing “the right thing” and admitting that the Iraq War was a regrettable part of her voting record.
Now, all that echoes in my head is the fearful message that Hillary Clinton wants me to think about when I wake up in the morning. The media is buzzing about comparisons to a 1964 Election ad for LBJ.
Are you afraid yet?
If this is the kind of garbage I wanted out of my presidential nominee, I’d sooner reach out to the neo-conservative clowns of the Republican party because at least they know how to put up a good scare. Stupid Hillary.
Barack Obama responded to Hillary Clinton’s ad entitled: “3AM”
If you’re still not afraid, please subscribe to the White House Intel Report — or the terrorists win!

Will Hillary Clinton\’s \"3AM\" ad work in Texas and Ohio? It may have upset the Democra…
It’s really pathetic in my eyes that neither of the candidates can do more than say “I approve this message” in their own commercial.
Too busy to manipulate us personally?
“I’ve given her the benefit of the doubt, because I believe Bill Clinton was a great man and always felt that his presence in the White House (despite what the propagandists would have you believe) would be a good thing for the United States.”
WTF kind of logic is that? Isn’t that a little like saying I support McCain because I want to bang his wife?
LT: that’s about right.
McCain’s wife.. hot. No, but the ‘reason’ if there is one is two-fold.
1) An anti-War candidate beats a war-hawk any day. Instead of sending our troops off to be murdered and buying off the resistance, maybe we should consider bringing them home and allowing the administration that made this mess to take the “label of shame”. This whole “let’s bring the troops home with honor” rhetoric is an assault on our nation, our family, friends and loved ones and it’s a bunch of crap that allows criminals in the White House to get away with murder, so-to-speak.
2) Bill Clinton was well-regarded and our nation much more respected around the world than our current President. We need that love to come back and we need our reputation restored, our morale replenished, and the fear-mongering has to go. Should Hillary Clinton win the presidency, I guarantee you there will be less fear-mongering than there would be with McCain at the helm.
I can say a whole lot more about these candidates, but this piece wasn’t supposed to be a serious analytical piece.. more of a demonstration of the tactics that our campaigns pass off on the masses to scare up votes.
The US is uniquely focused on violence and fear and exploitation of those to achieve its means.
People in the US seem utterly blind to the reality that their current ‘president’ is a fundamentalist wierdo just as dangerous any Islamic wierdo.
There are numerous great documetaries on the ‘net related to how the US keeps its population terrified and thus easy to manipulate. Try these, for instance:
End Game
911: Fear and the Selling of the American Empire
Loose Change
The Great Global Warming Swindle
Books:
Rule by Secrecy
The Terror Conspiracy
Other:
God is not Great
The God Delusion
The greatest failing of the US people is their immense willingness to be uneducated, uninformed and held captive to the whims of a few.
Remember Hillary is not Bill!!!! The Middle East is not going to respect a woman, and I believe no progress will be made if she is elected President. She will make an excellent Secretary of Health and implement Obama’s Healthcare Plan. He has stated that he is willing to consider some changes to make sure it is the best plan for our country. I do know her plan need changed as well, but is she willing to listen. I believe she is easily persuaded, which we do not need in a President. She was easily persuaded to voted for the war, when they pressured her. She was easily persuaded to give up on her healthcare plan, when they pushed back. She will be persuaded to increase taxes for the poor and cut taxes for the rich.
She’s not Bill… See what Bill has to say about fear and hope:

Hillary is best suited to ironing my shirts and baking cookies. Obama doesn’t even have the experience to do that much.
McCain cuts too many deals with far too many liberals. The only positive of a McCain presidency would be keeping the Supreme Court out of the hands of activist judges that would erode the Constitution.
And seriously… Bill Clinton was a “well-regarded” president? By whom? The nation’s hos?
The Dems are seriously screwed this election cycle.
The only way to win is if Barack deals the Race Card- which you know he will…
The race card is what I don’t understand about this whole black thing with Obama, even though he is biracial. His mother, who is white and her parents raised him. He never really knew his father. He refused to change his name because his mother named him, his mother is a white christian. We need to give this whole race thing a rest. People usually vote for the person who they believe will help them the most. Obama is for humanity, Clinton is for herself.
Bill Clinton is regarded as one of America’s greatest presidents to anyone who isn’t a political hack.
Gobama!
