Karl Rove determined to remain relevant

As I’m listening to Fox News this morning, I can’t help but chuckle at some of the news bytes that drive the morning show. Karl Rove is apparently offering Barack Obama advice
It’s amusing to see Karl Rove squirm these days. He’s the target of a Democratic witch hunt of sorts, some of which he is directly responsible for. However, he continues to make headlines with his provocative statements about Hillary Clinton. At first it was “Hillary Clinton is inevitable, I’m pretty sure she’s going to win.” Then it was “the Democrats are to blame for prematurely sending us into war. Now the gem, “This is how you beat Hillary Clinton,…” The analysis by Rove apparently was published in the Financial Times.
From a political standpoint, it’s funny because he essentially went over some of the points that I wrote in the article: “How to beat Hillary Clinton.” The big question on Fox was, “does this mean that the Republicans would like to face Barack Obama rather than Hillary Clinton?” Of course the pundits on Fox spun their views to say that the Republicans would trump either candidate and didn’t hesitate to say that Hillary Clinton is an easier victory because she’s, well, evil!
Here’s some advice to Barack Obama, don’t listen to that scumbag, the last thing you want is to dirty your hands in that brand of politicking. On the other hand, read my article linked above, because something is lacking from Hillary’s adversaries in the Democratic primary. Barack Obama had an interesting reply to Karl Rove, “keep it to yourself, I don’t want your advice.” It’s the right response, because the “advice” from Rove was loaded and it sounds like Karl Rove is trying to simply remain relevant.
I have to say, it’s rare to run into people that consider the Republicans as producing a viable candidate for the 2008 Presidency. If you’re a partisan and watch Fox News regularly, I can see why there are some people that truly believe that Republicans are going to win, if not trounce the Democratic candidate. Gotta love political agendas in television!
