Mark Penn Ousted From Clinton Campaign

Mark Penn has been highly controversial and divisive according to people working for Hillary Clinton’s campaign.  There was a turnover in February and this latest set-back does not bode well for  Hillary Clinton.

According to CNN, Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, a Clinton campaign surrogate, told NBC’s Meet the Press Sunday that there were a “lot of issues” which might call for the senior adviser’s resignation.

On Friday, Penn was criticized by the media for acknowledging a meeting between him and the ambassador of Colombia.  They discussed a pending trade agreement that Hillary Clinton fundamentally disagrees with.

The dynamic within the campaign had devolved to the point where senior staffers got into shouting matches with Penn, all sides hurling profanity at each other in exchanges that made their way into news accounts.

  1. Get Real! Mark Penn has NOT left Hillary’s campaign. It was all a big smoke screen. He’s still there attending meeting, contributing, advising. Stop reporting that he’s gone. He isn’t!
