Ron Paul Fans Furious With Anderson Cooper

I’m glad I’m not the only one that noticed how terribly conducted the last CNN debate was on the Republican side. Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee struggled to get a word in on the debate. CNN or Anderson and company apparently decided that the rest of America doesn’t need to hear the remaining candidates because it’s clearly a two-man race on the Republican side.
Supporters of Ron Paul have engaged in political activism in order to defend the integrity of the Election process and push for fair and unbiased media coverage of the candidates. It is a noble cause, every American should desire an untainted primary process and the media’s handling of the debates is an example of America’s latest struggle with the rise of corporatism in our nation.
Americans don’t want to be told who their next president is, we’d like to decide for ourselves Mr. Cooper.
Fox Business News published a story on topic. A new website, ultimateronpaul.com launched a petition to protest the treatment of Congressman Ron Paul during the latest Republican debate at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
CNN, The Politico, and The Los Angeles Times — the debate sponsors — invited Ron Paul to participate. But then the moderator, CNN’s Anderson Cooper, snubbed Paul and cut him off from participating in most of the debate. Paul was allowed only a couple of “cameo” appearances.
The editor of the Ultimate Ron Paul website was quoted as saying:
“Anderson Cooper’s style of ‘managed news’ belongs in Russia or China, not the U.S.”
The petition explains:
“Even the reporters for one of the sponsors, The Los Angeles Times, noted how Ron Paul was ‘often left out.’”
At the heart of the petition is a demand of an apology to Congressman Ron Paul. They’d also like to see Anderson Cooper reprimanded by denying him the moderator role for any future debates that may include Ron Paul. Further, the inclusion and fair treatment of Ron Paul is also requested.
“Can’t the U.S. media do better?”
After the last Fox News debate, much of the same was happening to Ron Paul although they did allow him the last word and he wasn’t cut off as frequently or ignored altogether. For this reason, it surprises me that Fox Business News would actually publish this article. I guess in the spirit of competition, this is too good to pass up.
If this petition is something you are interested in, be sure to check out the website.

Candidates should have equal opportunity in every respect. What do we do about that?
If Ron Paul is ever elected President of the US, which he won’t be,(Thank God) it would only be a matter of time until the United States would lose its status as world leader and the isolation would leave us open for more terroist attacks and in the long run, could possibly be taken over by anti government forces, but as I said, thank God for sounder minds.
Ron Paul is not isolationist. He just doesn’t want to bomb countries. He is not going to disband the military, just use them to protect us, not the Iraqis, the Koreans, the Germans, and everyone else. This makes us weaker by spreading ourselves too thin. The Roman Empire fell because it grew too large to sustain itself. The same would happen with the American Empire. We would have world pre-eminence by being respected and not hated.

I guess Jim hasn’t seen our national debt nor does he understand that we can achieve in peace that which could never be done in war. And thank god for the Federal Reserve who steals from the people and seals our fate. Ever wonder why other “free” countries are never attacked or hated by many in the middle east? Sounder minds indeed.
