Ron Paul Revolution? NO, it’s bigger than Ron Paul!

This isn’t just a Ron Paul Revolution, it’s bigger than that - the future of the Republican Party is at stake. Republicans are trying to redefine themselves and only one man stands out in my opinion. This message is going to be a bit strong, so please don’t take offense. I am writing with my heart right now and not my ‘neutrality’ cap, so take that into consideration when you decide you want to hit me over the head with a frying pan.

Ron Paul reads a different bible than most Republicans, he says…

He is a staunch Christian conservative but he will not use the bible to justify pre-empty strikes against Iran. He embraces the just war theory as a traditional Christian value and thinks that the Republican party needs to come to its senses on the war issues.

He is right, because how dumb, blind, or stupid do you have to be to see that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton will rip other conservatives to shreds based on Bush’s horrific dual term in office.

Republican Candidates

1. Giuliani is ‘centered’ maybe even more liberal than Hillary Clinton
2. Romney is also liberal, especially if you compare him to Ron Paul
3. McCain is the consummate brides maid…
4. Ron Paul — a very interesting candidate with support from the far right, the far left (eh?) and many independent thinkers and people that hate our current government!
5. I honestly don’t know the other candidates well enough at this point to judge

Ron Paul is the only guy with a chance to defeat Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama, you are a fool if you think otherwise

What other candidate seems as well prepared and ready to discuss and debate the issues the way Ron Paul does? He scares a lot of people, not because his views are ‘out there’, but because what he says makes a lot of sense and everything he says is based on ‘thinking’ about the issues. You can tell he doesn’t get his information from Rush Limbaugh or Ann Coulter, who I believe also *think* about the issues, they are brilliant don’t get me wrong– but Ron Paul’s thinking combined with his heart and principles is what makes him a special man. Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh are jaded, angry, hateful (it comes with the environment) and they make millions off of channeling the rage onto the left.

Ron Paul, however, is his own man and that is something I hope that the rest of the country strives for. Whatever he said 20 years ago or 30 or whenever.. I am OK with, because I know that any of those crazy articles that surface are probably pulled out of context. Furthermore, it seems he is incapable of thinking illogically! As strange as that sounds, it could be his weakness and his biggest strength.

What I like most about Ron Paul, is that he doesn’t try to force his views on anyone. If he encounters resistance, he is ready to pull out his guns (his vocal chords) and square off with anyone that’ll listen. It is the recognition that people have different values and belief systems and he doesn’t mock them in some weak attempt to validate his own point of view or ‘religious beliefs’. Rudy Giuliani tried to bury Ron Paul and raise his own position by using the unAmerican(tm) lines on Ron Paul and it backfired horribly!

Strong Conservatism, extremism?

He may be on the extreme end of conservatism and Christianity, and ya know what? I am OK with that, and you should be too. Romney, I’m starting to warm up a little bit, but does anyone think a Mormon can defeat a Christian in these elections? It is a sad thing to say, but American government is in bed with Christianity and I don’t see Mitt Romney winning the favor of the most influential religion in American politics.

Rudy Giuliani is the front-runner, Paul a distant 10th or something like that

I’ll tell you why I say to hell with Rudy Giuliani. Giuliani continues to sit squarely on my asshole list for not responding to Ron Paul’s demand for an apology after the second debate. His campaign also refuses to add me on Myspace and I want to beat him over the head with the Myspace foam bat! Of all the self-righteous things I’ve seen in politics, though, his exploiting 9/11 and tossing the UNAMERICAN grenade onto a fellow Republican… would rank up there with Bush invoking and abusing the G-bomb in order to get his way.

Don’t get me wrong, I really want to like Giuliani, but he has gone from being my #1 favorite to my #1 hated, in large part because of the way he carries himself and because he has the smug ‘I’m better than you’ look on his face. He doesn’t even have to speak and I can feel his arrogance! For that, I will continue to knock him down a peg at every chance I get. That leaves you with a Mormon, a brides maid, and a bunch of candidates who for are just another Bush Republican. Ron Paul will add spice to the elections, he will inject the Republican party with much needed life, otherwise you guys can sit back at home and watch the Democrats celebrate the 2008 landslide because it is going to be ugly no matter what the media or radio show hosts tell you.

Rise of the Libertarians?

The one big plus for Ron Paul and his Libertarian base, is that he is getting a message out to the nation that the Libertarian party might be a viable new party for all of the Republicans who are disgusted with what has happened to their party. Who wouldn’t be with Bush at the helm and democrats in such a position to pretty much reverse everything they’ve worked on over the last 7 years.

For the record, I had to edit this piece because it was being censored by the Ron Paul haters out there, this is part of the problem is that you don’t get to see the entire discussion because people will bury your news whenever they see any title with Ron Paul’s name in it. This is the original title I used, which I changed so that people would read the damn article and not dismiss it as spam!

It shouldn’t even be a question, Ron Paul is far superior to any other conservative candidate, U.S. elections are a farce if he is denied the Republican nomination by dollars, columnists and radio hosts

A mission for you:
During the next Republican debate, listen to the candidates and what they have to say. Ask yourself these questions:

  1. Have I heard this before from a previous Republican candidate?
  2. Are any of the thoughts ‘different’ what can he offer my party that it doesn’t have?
  3. Is this candidate exploiting 9/11
  4. How many times has he mentioned terrorism, terrorists, or evil?
  5. Are his words trying to scare me into thinking or voting a certain way?
  6. Is the war rhetoric being used because the candidate cares about people or because the candidate cares about votes?
  7. How will the candidate put those ‘tough words’ into action with an American public that is 70% or higher against the war?
  8. Is this person trying to trick me into thinking a certain way?
  9. Does this candidate stand a chance against Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama?
  10. Do I like this person because of principle, heart, both?
  11. Can I trust this candidate to do ‘what is right’ for our country?
  12. Is this candidate liberal, conservative, a wolf in sheep’s clothing?

Below is a Ron Paul speech in 2003 where he attacks Republicans for not being conservative. Government is bloated, nothing has changed, there is no Conservative revolution going on, spending is higher than ever before…

He continues on his argument that Ronald Reagan’s desire to limit government is a dream now, because we continue to inflate our spending and now we’re lowering taxes.  “While it is good to lower taxes, it means nothing if we continue to increase spending”  He further says that the tax that exists now is hard to visualize, because it’s not people now that will pay for it, it is future generations.  It is the poor people who are squeezed by government like this, they feel it the most.  It is the unemployed people who will feel it in a way we cannot comprehend.  (and so on..) He makes a good point, about how we conveniently lower taxes. (rich, sometimes the middle class benefit) and yet we continue to spending at the same rates that our previously bloated tax system was unable to keep up with!

Ron Paul vs. IRS and Income Tax

Whatever you think of the feisty Texan, ya gotta love his spirit and his ability to rip on the IRS, income tax and invoke civil disobedience, Gandhi, and Martin Luther King Jr. as support for his arguments!
