In the past, Latinos have often been studied because of their effect on our general election.  It has been a long time since Democrats have had to fight over the Latino voters, and this year, Hillary Clinton had a stranglehold on the demographic until recently.  Clinton’s ads in Texas (latino targeted) are much more effective than Barack Obama’s ads. (generic) Barack Obama’s campaign, however, seems to have the edge from the grass roots supporters.

Salsa, Merengue, Cumbias, Corridas, the net roots have it all.

In case you’re wondering, I’m a Mexican-American from the border town of El Paso, Texas.   The two below are my favorites of the bunch.  The lyrics of the first video almost perfectly convey my feelings on politics, our nation, and the American Dream.    The second one brings me back home, if only for a moment.
