“We’re back!” says Bill Clinton

Bill Clinton, on Wednesday, made a speech in Denver, Colorado that was reminiscent of his days in the White House. He was great as usual, made a dramatic pause in the middle of his policy speech to say “We’re back… we’re back.”
Hillary Clinton’s campaign is playing the Clinton card properly, despite all of the criticism that they’ve received. Bill managed to get the negative media attention on HIM during South Carolina and a lot less positive attention was granted Barack Obama as a result. Of course, they didn’t anticipate the Ted Kennedy endorsement that shifted the discussion once again to Barack Obama, Bill Clinton is changing how he approaches audiences.
He gives his speeches in much the same way, very effective and connecting with audiences — young and old. The major change I’ve noticed is that he is now using “She believes, Hillary believes” very frequently now.
“Who is the best change maker, it’s not experience versus change, it’s who has the best experience making change…”
Bill Clinton made the comment in attempt to change the conversation that Barack Obama is currently dominating. Just prior to that he took a number of jabs at Republicans and particularly President Bush who he says is “bad with arithmetic.” He even mentioned Rush Limbaugh’s hate and the phony charges of a polarizing Hillary Clinton, and suggested that if Rush Limbaugh hates Hillary, that’s another reason to vote for her.
We’ll see how this all plays out, Bill Clinton is still “the man” in the Democratic party and no matter how close Barack Obama comes to JFK in terms of idealism, the Clinton legacy will be remembered positively by core Democrats. In fact, Bill Clinton is like the Reagan of Democrats, and JFK,… he stands on a plateau of his own that no one on the Republican or Democratic side has been able to reach.
I’ve not made a decision on what candidate I’d support on the Democratic side, but listening to Bill Clinton speak (I’m a moderate) just gives me chills in much the same way that Barack Obama does. The “two presidents” for the price of one theory is fascinating from an intellectual standpoint, but I’m undecided as to whether it would be the best thing for our country as we move forward. It’s pretty amazing to see people trip over one another just to shake Bill Clinton’s hands, take photographs, and even simply touch the former president’s suit. It’s like seeing fans swarm the stage at a rock concert.

[...] becomes, how was that so? Or how was it appropriately so? Of course Bill Clinton’s, “We’re back!” whizbang, and the idea of a co-presidency may appeal to more voters than I think it does; [...]
