High Schoolers become anti-War terrorists

High School students have engaged in an interesting form of demonstration. In the past, College liberal activists have been placed on watch lists and all but labeled terrorists by members of the right. Now we have younger people speaking out and telling the country, NO MORE.

Thirteen demonstrators were arrested and cited for trespassing Friday at a Vermont Army National Guard recruiting office as dozens more protesters surrounded the building, opposing military recruiting in schools.

The protests grew from a campaign by students at Mount Mansfield Union High School in Jericho who object to military recruiters in their school and the requirement that high schools hand over student contact information to the recruiters. Many of the protesters were taken to the Chittenden County Sheriff’s Office, where they were to be processed and cited for trespassing Friday evening, Williston Police Chief James Dimmick said. Three juveniles were cited and released, he said.

The high school students organized Friday’s demonstration, and other groups opposed to the war in Iraq joined the cause. At mid-afternoon, groups of demonstrators showed up in front of the Williston Military Recruitment Office in Maple Tree Place, but personnel there were apparently aware of the upcoming protest and closed for the day.

Does it matter that our kids are now being moved by men like Ron Paul and anti-War radicals? Is it a good or bad thing? Has polarized politics given rise to a new form of “terrorist” and is it proper to call them that or does it still sound like an awkward label to you, as it should?

How you answer these questions probably says a lot about how the “un-American” Revolution is affecting you.  You can read the entire article, “High School protests of military recruiters.

  1. “Does it matter that our kids are now being moved by men like Ron Paul and anti-War radicals?”

It sure does, it shows that there kids can think for themselves instead of being the sheep their parents are now.

“Is it a good or bad thing?”

Good, as our founding father Thomas Jefferson said

“rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add ‘within the limits of the law,’ because law is often but the tyrant’s will, and always so when it violates the right of an individual.””

“Has polarized politics created a new form of “terrorist” and is it proper to call them that or are does it still sound like an awkward label to you, as it should?”

NO. tyranny as enshrined by the current 2 parties will breed patriots which will correct the follies and rigght this country back on the course the founding fathers wanted

““Leave no authority existing not responsible to the people.””
