AT&T and Verizon bribe politicians with donations

Lets just call a spade a spade, the telecommunications companies are trying to bribe our Senators by sending money to their campaigns. They know they’ve done wrong. The NSA and Bush Administration may have bullied the corporations, but they could have said no, they could have come clean and gone public. They betrayed Americans by violating the law. The six and seven figure attorneys that advise these companies surely knew that what was happening was a violation of American law and our Constitution. CEO’s no doubt received advise to not comply with the requests, yet they allowed it anyway.

I feel no sympathy for these companies, and as President Bush urges Congress to grant them immunity for working with him to violate our trust, I will sit back and pray that justice is served. If it breaks the companies and they go belly up, then so be it. In this country, it would mean nothing.. some other company will move into the limelight and take over the monopoly that a handful of companies enjoy.
