Ron Paul fans got their way with Jon Stewart

Remember this article that helped kill my server last night? Ron Paul Political Intrigue or Genius? It was about Ron Paul who has been riding the waves of the Internet all the way to the top. Here is a clip from that article, please read it when you get a chance!

“Often, the person who “can’t win” are allowed to speak most freely ,”
- Jon Stewart 2004

Ron Paul granted authority by the power of political activism

The infamous Ron Paul supporters have pushed to get him on the Daily Show, and don’t look now but he is taking the Republican party by storm and no one seems to be able to stop him! The article linked above points out the power of the Internet and bloggers and the great power they wield over the media, public opinion, and history.

Viral Internet spills over into real world

Here is the clip of eventful.com , a recent start-up company that aims to focus on promoting people and events that Americans want to see in their back yard.

Ron Paul is the #1 GOP presidential candidate that people want to see in person. Only Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama commanded more respect, and frankly, they have had a head start for some time now.. so its not saying a whole lot about how they will fare once you pit them in the political arena against one another.

I’ve suggested before, and I’ll say once more that whereas the Internet was once believed as a place to get the ‘news that happened’ and present news people care about using various methods, now a key evolutionary process is taking place. The Internet is becoming the place where news happens, and reporters and news media are scrambling to keep up with the bloggers.

News is much more than just ‘events happening around the globe’. News is about the human mind, perception, public understanding and community involvement. Mark my words, the print media is a dying breed in America.. and it may be the best thing that happened to this country since the declaration of independence signed in 1776!

Recently I’ve been asked the same question by some of my new fans online:

Are you trying to start a revolution or something?
the truth?

YES

  1. Yep, that’s what’s happening - it’s a Revolution. The Ron Paul Revolution.
We are using the power of the internet to take our country back.
Start watching your neighborhood for signs of “real world” support.
Ron Paul has hundreds of “MeetUp” groups with THOUSANDS of members. This weekend is scheduled to be the first “real world” gatherings.
I live in the St. Pete area of Florida and there are 3 groups in this area, all with events scheduled for this weekend (June 2 & 3).
The Revolution will NOT be televised. It will be YouTubed.
And, BTW, don’t thing that it’s all young folks. I’m 57 and my partner is 54.

  2. Sounds exciting, I’d be interested to see the man.. let me know when he hits the Silicon Valley.
