Democrat Amendments threaten Bill, sparks debate in Congress
Two democrat amendments will dramatically alter immigration legislation announced last week may prompt fierce debate in the U.S. Senate today. The bill is the result of bipartisan talks and was endorsed by the White House last week. It would offer a path to citizenship to the estimated 12 million undocumented immigrants in the United States.
