Senate Judiciary Committee’s investigates alleged illegal acts
I’ve spent time reviewing the Senate Judiciary hearings regarding the Department of Justice. Kyle Sampson contradicts Alberto Gonzales
The Republican tune changed as facts revealed themselves.
Kyle Sampson holds the fort, but…

He stated that Alberto Gonzales was not truthful in his statement regarding his role in firing the eight United States attorneys.
Gonzales was torched by Democrats and helped by Republicans
Initially, Gonzales received many friendly questions from partisan Republicans. Unlike Kyle Sampson who hit home runs off the Republican softballs, Alberto Gonzales consistently whiffed!
Senator Lindsey Graham (South Carolina-R), Senator Orinn Hatch(Utah-R) and Senator John Cornyn came out swinging against Democrats during the Sampson investigation. Senator Hatch defended Alberto Gonzales to an almost sickening degree.
At one point Alberto Gonzales became so argumentative and combative, that Republicans investigators struggled to bail him out. For example, Senator Graham was visibly embarrassed as the attorney general rudely responded to his soft balls, what a buffoon!
