U.S. Supreme Court News
Chief Justice John Robert, collapsed at his holiday home in Maine. After a thorough neurological evaluation there is “no cause for concern,” according to his spokeswoman. Justice Roberts only endured minor scrapes.
This is a very interesting situation given the delicate balance of the court. Justice Roberts helped shift the Supreme Court to the right on issues like abortion and affirmative action, among others. Because of his young age (52), Justice Roberts is expected to help shape the court for decades if not centuries to come. With the strong possibility of a Democratic president in 2008, the balance of the court will be under the microscope .
Yes, John Roberts is very important to American jurisprudence.
note: Justice Roberts previously had a seizure in 1993.
