HONOR CEO George Zhao has hinted at the European price for the highly anticipated Magic V2 foldable phone. During the company’s showcase at IFA 2023, Zhao suggested that the new foldable device will have a similar pricing structure to its predecessor, the Magic V.
While the Magic V2 is set to launch in global markets in the first quarter of 2024, Zhao believes that its pricing will be a “good reference” to the Magic V’s global price. This is an encouraging sign for consumers who are eager to get their hands on the latest innovation from HONOR.
One of the key selling points for the Magic V series is its competitive pricing. The Magic V, which launched globally at โฌ1,599, was already cheaper than its major rivals, including the Google Pixel Fold and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. Even a โฌ100 price increase for the Magic V2 would still make it more affordable than its competitors.
While the Magic V2 may lack certain features such as wireless charging, ultra-thin glass, and water resistance, it still offers an impressive range of specifications. These include a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, a large 5,000mAh battery with 66W wired charging, stylus support, a reduced display crease, and a versatile rear camera system.
Despite the excitement surrounding the Magic V2, there are concerns about its delayed release outside of China. HONOR’s decision to launch the device in global markets in Q1 2024 has left some enthusiasts eager for an earlier release date.
With its attractive pricing and impressive features, the HONOR Magic V2 has the potential to become a game-changer in the foldable phone market. As consumers eagerly await its availability, it remains to be seen if HONOR will heed the hopes of its fans and launch the Magic V2 earlier than expected.
