The long-awaited sequel to Tim Burton’s classic film Beetlejuice is finally happening, and Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first teaser trailer for the highly anticipated movie. Set to release on Sept. 4, the trailer features familiar faces like Jenna Ortega, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara reprising their roles from the original film.
In this new installment, Ortega plays Lydia’s rebellious teenage daughter, who accidentally opens a portal to the Afterlife. Michael Keaton also returns as the iconic character Beetlejuice, delivering his famous line “The juice is loose” once again. The star-studded cast also includes Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Arthur Conti, and Willem Dafoe.
Keaton expressed his excitement about filming the sequel, calling it the most fun he’s had on set in a long time. He and Burton had been considering a sequel for years, focusing on getting it right and avoiding reliance on CGI to create a more handmade feel for the film.
Fans of the original Beetlejuice film can finally rejoice as the sequel is on its way with familiar faces, new characters, and the same quirky charm that made the first film a cult classic. Stay tuned for more updates as the release date approaches!
