United Airlines Commits to 110 New Long-Haul Aircraft, Emphasizing Confidence in Travel Demand
United Airlines has recently exercised options for the purchase of 110 new long-haul airplanes, demonstrating its strong belief in the ongoing demand for long-haul travel. The airline is set to convert options for 50 additional Boeing 787-9 aircraft into firm orders, along with 60 Airbus A321neo long-range narrow-body planes. The Airbus A321neos possess the necessary range to support shorter long-haul routes, such as flights between the Northeastern United States and Iceland or Western Europe.
